The 2 races were run off today in weather conditions which could at best be described as wretched. Thankfully, the rain stopped for the final two laps of racing. The lack of sunshine and the abundance of wind and rain did not seem to deter the 151 brave men and women who set off from Warrenstown at 10am.

The 2 races were run off today in weather conditions which could at best be described as wretched. Thankfully, the rain stopped for the final two laps of racing. The lack of sunshine and the abundance of wind and rain did not seem to deter the 151 brave men and women who set off from Warrenstown at 10am.
Both races appeared very difficult on the exposed main road section and accordingly split into four groups each. The combination of difficulties faced by the riders led to some, but not too many, withdrawing from the action prematurely.
Each event had a very worthy winner in Sean Lacey(A/B) and Con Collis (C/V/J/L). Both riders won solo in convincing fashion. Well done to all the riders who participated in these races today.
